Aletessa Reintroduced

I created a new version of Aletessa using the Genesis 8 figure. After discussing it with her, I decided the best way to show it off is with a couple of reproductions of old scenes, but with the new character and Iray rendering. For starters, here she is in Gift for the Mummy.

She wasn't nude in the original, but hey, I wanted to show off the new skin, right? Here's the original.

That scene doesn't really show her face and hair, so I also reproduced the scene I used to introduce her originally.

Here's the original.

What's she doing naked in a library? I always imagined she read from a magical book, which surprised her by making her clothes vanish.

  1. Perfect! Thankyou :). I remember someone commenting that it must be a book on memory enhancing techniques, because I was sure I'd forgotten something when I left.

  2. Oooh, gorgeous pics of the lovely Tess ... xxx

In the the library pic, I think Tess is reading a book on anatomy & wanted to check it our practically ... LOL! :-)

One can also clearly see how more 'realistic' her skin in iRay looks than 3Delight! Pity though rendering with iRay takes so much longer ... sigh!

    1. Thank you so much. Another brilliant interpretation of the library scene.

An interesting thing about Iray renders is that they sort of take however long you want them to take depending on the quality you want. If you stop a 3Delight render part way through, you only get part of the picture, but if you stop an Iray render part of the way through, you get a full picture, but it's grainy.

Still, I usually use the default settings, which limits the render time to 2 hours, and stops at a convergence ratio of 95%, whichever comes first.

    2. Yes, with the few iRay renders I've done myself I've often stopped at about 80% or so, which usually looks good enough. However, it's frustrating that it takes so long; as then it's not really feasible if one wants to do a story of say 20, 30 or more pics.

    3. Hmm... I don't know. Sometimes I just take a long time to tell a story, like months, even before I started using Iray. <>
