Adding New Material to Old Posts

Until now, any time I add new pictures to my gallery, I have created a new post for them. This presents certain problems, because I wanted people following my blog to get informed when I added pictures, and I don't think they get notified when I modify an existing post. That's pretty much the only reason I have not done it in the past.

On the other hand, there are plenty of benefits to adding to existing posts.

  1. I can keep related pictures grouped together.
  2. I can enjoy posting part of a series before it is finished and get feedback right away.
  3. No need to hold stuff back.

Well, that's the important stuff. So going forward, I'm going to feel free to post parts of a series before I'm finished, knowing that I can add the rest to it as I make them, which is how I operated when I was posting to DeleteArt.  To make sure subscribers are notified (not sure how many of those I have), when I add pictures to an existing post, I'll just make a new text post to announce it, and link to the modified post.

To that end, I have just added 4 pictures to my After the Last Gasp post, so you can check those out now. That post features Stephy and strangulation.

Maybe now I should post what I have of part 3 of the Revenge series, even though I have not quite finished it.

    1. Thanks. I think I will be proceeding with that plan soon.

  2. I think this is a good idea. I like the email notifications. But updating existing series seems the way to go. So, best of both worlds

    1. I don't know why it says I am 'unknown'! I am migoz2 who followed you on DA and LSF.

    2. Thank you migoz2. Very helpful. I think it shows you as unknown unless you are logged in to a Google account, in which case it shows your Google account name. Right now as I'm replying, I'm seeing a "Reply as:" with just one choice; :Google Account".
